For the week 7 challenge we had to write a post about color, and I decided to write about purple because its my favorite color! No matter what shade it is, its still so pretty. Whether its a deeper purple, like this flower:

or a lighter shade, like these flowers:

Purple in any shade is pretty, or even as anything. Like a lavender (lighter purple) bedroom would be nice, or even a darker purple shirt. Purple flowers, like these pictures, are gorgeous I think. Anyways, purple is my favorite color.

This competition has opened my eyes to many different cultures. It allowed me to see that people all the way across the world really aren’t too much different than they are here, well besides the seasons of course. They play sports and spend time with family just like we do.  Blogging allows you to see others views on the same subject. For example, this competition has us doing many, many different posts that everyone in the competition has to do so we get to see what other people say about the same thing.

I think the United States should be more democratic so everyone can get a chance to say their thought on the subject. It would also allow everyone to be more equal rather than give certain people advantages while taking away from others, which is not fair.  It would allow the citizens of the United States to be able to get a say in the things that happen to our country, instead of leaving it up to other people. Decisions could be made based upon our ideas and such.

If there were no electoral votes in the US anymore, and everyone’s vote counted as a separate one, there might have to be a few qualifications. One that I could think of would be that everyone must have an education of at least 5 years, so you’d be able to understand what is going on in the world and the country andyou could know how to choose which president you think would be a better leader for our country. Another might be that you must be a legal citizen. Otherwise, you might get someone from another country with a hatred toward the US voting for president, and that wouldn’t be good because then they most likely would be choosing the candidate that wouldn’t be such a good leader.

I think the most dangerous question you can ask is: Why? This question could lead to anything. It might be an answer that you do or don’t want to hear. Also, it always leads to an explanation. No matter what. Whenever why is asked, you must give an answer. But this answer is more than yes, no, maybe. It is because. Also, it could leave to a long explanation when all you really wanted was a simple one. But all in all that’s not too bad, right? If someone answers this question, it might lead to a negative answer. For example, you’re asking your parents for a puppy.

You say, “Mom, Dad, can I have a puppy?”

Mom and Dad say, “No.”

You say, “But why?”

They say, “We feel you’re not ready yet to handle a puppy. They are a lot of work. You need to walk them and feed them and wash them…”

I would personally be devastated. This is not exactly what I wanted to hear. Not only would the no part upset me, but the explanation would too. However, this question could do me good. It would give me a motivation to prove them wrong. They would also go on and on and give me a speech about how much work they are when all I really wanted was something simple.

I suppose this isn’t the best example, but it’s all I could really think of at the moment.
